In card access systems, card readers can open the door by giving a trigger to the door lock as a result of reading the previously defined cards, allow passing by giving dry contact to the turnstile and if desired it can control car parking barriers . Readers of the card access system can read mifare (13,56 MHz) or proximity (125 khz) cards by approaching the card to the reader from a distance of approx. 5-10 cm.

STAND-ALONE CARD ACCESS SYSTEM
Firstly master cardis read to this system, which operates independently from the computer, then ,all the cards which will be read are defined and then system gives passing authorization for the next reading. The trigger time of the card reader can be adjusted as desired. As the trigger gives a dry contact, it can open the strike plates of electronic, magnetic and electric locks . It is possible to access by card reading as well as by password reading. Standalone card access systems which have features such as self-closing by alerting in case of sabotage, can be used as indicator in apartment doors and can be safely used in office, warehouse and all room doors.
OFFLINE CARD PASS SYSTEM
Off-line card readers can store the cards in the memory without keeping the computer as turned on. By defining the passing zones to the cards, it has been detailed that which cards can be used on which days or at which times. Thanks to card access control programme ,by transferring all passing logs to the computer, desired reports can be taken on the basis of cards, doors, levels and they can be certified as mail or print out .The card identifications are first defined to a device and the card numbers are transferred to the software. Then, whatever quantity card readers are available ,the identified card numbers can be transferred simply for passing . Creating a new access control card or deleting or de-authorising is done in seconds.
They don't need any access control panels, because each device works as a separate panel. IP based card pass terminals are connected to the closest network switch and included in the system. The name of the person who reads the card or the name of the person to read the card during the special information is transferred via color screen.
PANELLED CARD ACCESS SYSTEM
In this system which can be connected to4, 8 or 16 units of card reader , Wiegand readers are used. Wiegand readers do not keep any information in their memory, as soon as they read the card, they transfer the card number to the panel. The panel decides whether the pass-through is allowed and sends the result signal back to the Wiegand card reader. According to the result data ,the wiegand card reader opens the door or not .
ONLINE CARD PASS SYSTEM
In online systems, the computer must remain open during use. Passing authorizations, passing time definitions, and number of passings are defined through the programme. The card readers operating with RS 232/485 are connected to the serial port of the computer via the connector. The reader which reads the card fastly transmits the information to the access control program installed on the computer. The program checks the authorization of previously defined card number and sends a command again to the reader to give a trigger or not .
